I’m obsessed with this Anthony Powell costume from the live-action 101 Dalmatians  worn by Glenn Close as Cruella de Vil. This is the costume where Cruella makes her enterance in the film. Her version of a suit for a modern businesswoman features exaggeratedly pointed shoulders, a corseted waist, and a thigh-high slit in the skirt. She accessorizes with a veiled hat, skunk fur muff with an matching attached stole trailing behind, black-nailed gloves, and dagger-sharp stilettos. The costume is covered in contrasting black and white sequins.

Eiko Ishioka referencing a Gustav Klimt portrait in one of Lucy Westerna’s costumes inBram Stoker’s Dracula.I only made this connection because I’m writing a paper in my film class all about this movie.

Christine’s red traveling ensemble that she wears upon getting off the ship when she first appears in Love Never Dies. I’m not a huge fan of the concept of the musical but I love the costumes and set design. This dress in particular is a stunning Edwardian costume with a long train and huge plumed hat.

Another blue outfit of Wilhelmina’s. Notice the she wears a leather belt in a shade of blueberry that’s almost an exact match for the color of her origami-front dress. The stripe on the bottom of her bag matches too. Her extremities(bangles, watch, earrings, shoes) are all accessorized in silver metallics.

More Marc and Willie coordinated outfits. I’m gagging over the the weird bullet casing/abstract spiky necklace that Wilhelmina has on. The color of her jacket is awesome too. I’m taking a wild guess that the necklace is Alexis Bittar, but  I’m only 40% sure. It’s be awesome if someone knew what Marc’s “love” print tie was from as well, I’m too lazy to bingle it.

I love how Pat Fields keeps dressing Marc and Wilhelmina in corresponding outfits even when he stops being her assistant. Here Wilhelmina is in a vintage Mugler suit from the early 90s or late 80s.

Orange one-shoulder dress and grey/black striped fur worn by Wilhelmina in season 4 of Ugly Betty. Note the matching orange gloves and silver clutch that she holds.
