Details of Elphaba’s Act II dress from Wicked: The skirt is multi-colored, multi-layered, and multi-textured (it’s also the reason I nearly fell out of my crappy balcony seat and stabbed my eyes out with my theatre binocular, but one of the most interesting details in her hat. I’d never noticed it before but it has a snake or lizard skin patten which gives it a unique leathery look. I love that Susan Hilferty cares enough to put this amount of detail into her costuming.
